Arlaina Tibensky’s writing has appeared in One Story, Smokelong Quarterly, Stanchion, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, The Reckon Review, The Madison Review, Inkwell, Thimble Lit, Literary Mama, The New York Times and elsewhere and has been anthologized in New Stories from the Midwest 2018.
She has been recognized by the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Sustainable Arts Foundation, The New Jersey State Council for the Arts, and the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance.

Recent work has been nominated for Best of the Net, Pushcart, and The Best Small Fictions.
And Things Fall Apart, her YA novel about a girl obsessed with Sylvia Plath, was a Junior Library Guild Selection and an ALA/YALSA reader's choice nomination.
